hbi_bannerThe first actual Bitchidence.com event, Hot Body (maybe) Idol is this Thursday and we’re totally excited. Well, mostly.

As you all know, Bitchidence.com has been the source of, well, let’s call it “interestingness” in Providence for a while and we’re just not sure how that’s going to translate into a live event. Maybe well? Maybe too well?

In the weeks leading up to Thursday night, there’s been an Anti-Bitchidence/Dark Lady Facebook Group started in protest of Hot Body (maybe) Idol, CSGS Events picked up our cause and spread it across every other local GLTB site we know of, and there have been hundreds of comments (for and against) across Bitchidence, Facebook and Myspace. It’s been an online circus, so we’re probably headed for a real life one on Thursday too!

Anyway, since it’s only a couple days away, we thought it would be a good idea to introduce you bitches to our judges, and tell you why we picked them to participate in our very first event! Somehow we don’t think we need a lot of introduction, so we’ll skip to the other two.

Bomb Dome (The Paula): It’s actually more common for us to call her “Jenny Bomb Dome” — and why do we call her that? Because her name’s “Jenny” and she gives bomb dome! Bitch works as a waitress at local strip club and every other word with her is “fuck”, so she’s automatically more qualified than us to judge this contest.

Striker (The Randy): We heard a while ago that they call him Striker because bitch will fuck you up, but it’s actually an old screen name (snore). He worked a few years ago as a bartender in an ultra-bitchy Boston club, serving up drinks and snarky insults all night long. Sounds fun, right? We have a feeling that a lot of Striker’s remarks are going to be directed at Bomb Dome, since the two have constant beef with one another, and we haven’t yet ruled out the possibility one hurling a Coca-Cola cup at the other.

Anyway, the judge-combo chemistry is likely to be fire and is all starts at Thursday night at 11:30pm, or however long it takes for us to show up and have a couple drinks first. Oh, and if you actually want to be in the contest — just show up, there’s no application process (we think).

Dark Lady, 124 Snow St. Providence. Be there!

You know, Bavaria, I actually (mostly) agree with you! This is a terribly sad statement about the majority of today’s young gay people — they’d rather protest a simple, fun, and not-all-that-important event over their wounded pride than something legitimate like equal rights.

I think the protesters have basically called it off, however, and I doubt that anyone will actually be outside picketing. So, those of you who don’t feel like dealing with protesters should be safe on Thursday. (Also, don’t ever go to Central PA Pride because the protesters are seriously the best thing going on there. :P )

How sad it is that young gay people in this city will potentially protest this senseless, completely irrelevant crap, but not get their butts politically active about anything significantly important.

Just think about the differences between gay generations of the past (Stonewall anyone?) and those today. But then again, all these twinks from JWU might not be able to wrap their little brains around much other than hair product and underage drinking.

Hopefully this event comes and goes as quickly as a Craigslist killer… I mean, trick.

    Oooo protesters!

Finally the young-homo-generation has found their purpose and cause?

    Someone, pleeeeease take photos!

I’d go, but I do not feel like wading through all the protesters.

Even if you hate the idea of this event, you should come. You can throw drinks at anyone who’s offended you (no, I’m kidding bad idea). Like we’ve been saying all over the bloody internet, if this isn’t the hottest contest you’ve been to, it should be the funniest!
